Ever get in a pinch and need to pray immediately? Ever make a poor decision and find yourself in a compromising or potentially dangerous predicament? Ever need a right now miracle?
Many of us have found ourselves in these interesting situations. The wonderful thing about the Lord is that He is omnipresent. We don’t need a sanctuary or an altar to reach him. All we need is a voice. If we can’t use our voice, we can use our thoughts. He hears us. Our words go directly to His heart. Look back at Hagar and Ishmael being kicked out of Abraham’s home. They were walking in the wilderness. Hagar was distraught and Ishmael was weeping. The Lord responded to their distress and gave them a directive.
See, as Bishop TD Jakes mentioned one Sunday, prayer is mobile. We are connected to the King of kings and the Lord of lords. We don’t have to wait on an optimal time to talk to the Lord. We can talk to Him right where we are – physically and emotionally. In the midst of a crisis at a hospital? Talk to Him. He knows where you are anyway. He’s waiting, ready and able to hear from you and meet your need. In the middle of a board meeting at work? Talk to him in your mind. Let Him know what you’re feeling and He will be there ‘mighty in the midst of you’. At school and need a miracle on a test? Study first-but ask Him to be with you and bring information back to your remembrance as you take the exam.
He’s always available. Even when it does not feel like it. Keep talking to Him. Talk with your mouth open or your mouth closed. He still hears you. Your prayer is going through. Keep calling on the Lord. He hears you. Those communication lines are open. Don’t believe the lies of the enemy. He cares about how you are getting along. 🙂
