Human nature compels mankind to judge folk by their worst moments; But is this the heart of the Father? Does He look at our worst and ignore our best?

Think of your absolute worst moments in time. Your worst behavior or most awful attitude…think about it a minute. How long ago was this moment? Are you still that person? Do you continue to occupy that toxic space? Or have you evolved and grown beyond those constraints of ego, that lack of character, the narcissistic traits, and the follies of youth?

If you haven’t evolved, it’s never too late to level up. You were given new mercies today, so start now. Shift. Make a declaration. Declare that you will be kinder today than you were yesterday. Declare that you will do the self- work needed to accurately reflect Jesus and develop a keen self-awareness that will make a better tomorrow. Purposefully align yourself to reflect the heart of our Heavenly Father.

Additionally, my lovelies, I challenge you to love yourself first and then begin to love others with intentionality. Self-care is essential if we are living our purpose in this earth realm. Shift. Look at the very best of someone instead of focusing on the very worst. Here’s the thing about people…we tend to judge ourselves by our intentions but judge others by their actions. Shift.

Reflection point:

In everything, do unto others as you would have them do unto you…. Matthew 7:12

If we don’t want to be remembered by our worst moment, then we cannot remember others by their worsts. Why is it so difficult for some of us to look for the best in people? Real love, love that flows from the throne of grace, causes us to eschew old thinking patterns. My trusty declaration when I am growing and shifting is: Let this mind be in me that is also in Christ Jesus.

Allow people to grow from their worst, outlive their missteps, and walk in their destiny. Shift.

Grace and peace be unto you,

Colin 💖
